MENTORING
Building a Better Future
Weekly sessions that focus on academic success, support through hardships, fostering strategic thinking, and exploring passions.
TUTORING
Making a Difference One Child at a Time
Students will have opportunities to receive free academic support from content experts, as needed for the following core classe - English, Math, Science and History. In addition to core, students will have the opportunity to learn Spanish as a foreign language.
ACADEMIC GUIDANCE & SUPPORT
Shaping the Leaders of Tomorrow
Students will receive guidance throughout the academic calendar making sure they are tracking and meeting academic expectations at their institution. L&S will also help ensure all students are equipped with the proper materials and essentials to learn while at school. The program mentor will visit students at their high school to build ties between L&S and school-based support networks.
ADVISORY CHECK-IN
Foundation to Success
Students will commit to meet 1 day a week with their mentor and peers for Quarter 1 of High School. Meeting frequency may increase or decrease based upon student’s need.
